Day Trading Course Description

Our online day trading course is designed to teach you the skills how to become an independent day trader. In this course, you’ll learn how to read day trading charts, premarket preparation, gauge buy and sell zones, scan for penny stocks to trade, and prepare for live day trading action.

You’ll also learn about the dangers of mirror trading and how you never want to follow someone else’s trades unthinkingly. This is one of the biggest reasons why most traders fail. Momentum trading is the most popular style of day trading. It requires traders to get in and out of positions within seconds to minutes. This strategy is called scalping, which means using your account as leverage to capitalize on short-term moves in price action. It’s important to use a high-speed execution broker when momentum trading. Popular brokers include LightSpeed, SpeedTrader, TradeStation, and Interactive Brokers.

Because this trading style is so critical to day traders’ learning, we get down to the nuts and bolts of how to day trade momentum stocks. You’ll learn some of the best strategies that work when a stock breaks out, pulls back to support, what to do when momentum vanishes, and how to recognize these events as they happen.

Our students learn when to buy when to sell, and when to sit on their hands in our day trading classes. This is so important because momentum stocks are volatile in both directions. If you can’t keep your focus on the trade at hand, momentum trading is not for you. It would be best if you were comfortable scalping stocks for short periods. We’ll teach you how to spot buy and sell signals in a momentum environment. Believe it or not, momentum trading isn’t hard; it’s the discipline you must have to stick to the trading plan that is the most difficult factor. We will teach you in our day trading course.

When day trading stocks, the moves are quick due to the low float. The lower the float, the quicker the price movement. Low floaters are typically stocks under 20 million float. Low floaters are stocks that are under 10 million float. Medium float stocks are typically stocks between 50 million to 100 million. Higher float stocks are over 100 million. Generally speaking, the higher the float, the slower the breakout and breakdown. Remember that even large-cap stocks can be volatile under the right conditions. If a stock has a low float and a news catalyst, there will often be more volatility.

You must be mentally quick and extremely patient with your entries trading low floaters. You’re trying to get in and out before everyone else. This is where hotkeys and having the right day trading broker become key. Order execution is key to getting in and out of a trade quickly. These are the things you will learn in our day trading course.

Knowing all the day trading indicators and patterns in the world won’t prepare you for the toll a losing or winning trade can take. It may sound funny to think that winning trades can take a toll mentally. However, it does. Getting cocky is a great way to lose the gains you’ve made. It doesn’t matter how many day trading classes that you take. You won’t make it long-term if you can’t control your emotions when trading. You’ll learn how in our day trading course.

Premarket routine: if you want to be a successful momentum trader, being prepared in the premarket is key. The latest you want to start preparing in the premarket is 9:15 a.m. EST since the market opens at 9:30 a.m. EST. Ideally, you’d like to give yourself more time than that, though.

Tools being used: you’re searching for stocks, hitting stock news tools like Benzinga and scanners like Trade Ideas with premarket volume and, ideally, a news catalyst.

News catalysts: news catalysts help penny stocks get the momentum they need to break out. Ideally, you’re looking for a good breakout on a daily chart with a good premarket setup.

You can narrow your watch list to 3-5 stocks before opening with important support and resistance levels mapped out. Not all will run at open, and the gap and go stocks premarket will often fail at open bell; that’s why having a scanner like Trade Ideas will help you hunt for momentum plays that are gaining volume at open.

Once the opening bell happens, you want to see if price action is broaching premarket highs and looking to break out above them. If so, there’s a good chance this might be a good gap and play. Be careful of the fake-out, though. Many times, breakouts of premarket highs won’t hold, and this is where day traders lose a lot on trades. Remember, buy at support and sell at resistance levels with penny stocks.

Day trading courses are worth it if you’re willing to study and put in the effort. They are a waste of money if you buy a course and don’t invest in learning how to day trade. It’s essential to treat day trading like you would a career or an education. You get out of it what you put into it.

Day trading is still a profitable strategy. However, it’s risky; over 90% of day traders fail. Studies have shown that less than 1% of day traders make money. To succeed as a day trader, it’s essential to have a proven strategy that works for you.

An average day trader can make between $100-$1,000 daily, depending on their brokerage account size. Top-day traders make $150,000+ annually, but those aren’t typical results. The reality is that over 90% of traders fail.

More Frequently Asked Questions

How much do you need to become a day trader? The minimum amount you need is $25,000 to avoid the PDT rule. The pattern day trading rule means you can’t make more than three-day trades within five calendar days if you have less than $25,000 in your brokerage account. You can use an off-shore broker like Ustocktrade or CMEG to avoid this rule.

Day trading is so hard because of the volatility of low-float stocks. It requires you to make quick trading decisions, which can be stressful for many people. Also, most people work a job and don’t have the time to be able to stare at their computer screen for long periods of focus time.

Most day traders quit because day trading is hard, risky, and stressful. Also, new investors tend to mirror trade with other traders from the start, which causes them to lose money. They also listen to stock promoters on social media and don’t know the proper buy and sell zones when trading.
